South Beach
What is a nutritious breakfast for The South Beach Diet?

My coworkers are on the South Beach diet. It sounds good. I cannot think of anything other than cereal and yogurt for breakfast though.

South Beach diet is focused on the intake of “good carbs” and “good fats” according to the inventor of it Dr. Arthur Agatston.

Dr. Agatston believes that excess consumption of so-called “bad carbohydrates”, such as the rapidly-absorbed carbohydrates found in foods with a high glycemic index, creates an insulin resistance syndrome—an impairment of the hormone insulin’s ability to properly process fat or sugar.

For a breakfast you can eat some oatmeal with low fat milk and raisins. Oatmeal has a low glycemic index, meaning that is a good carb, besides it has a high content of soluble fiber, which is good for lowering bad (LDL) colesterol levels from the blood and so, good your your heart.
Raisins have tons of antioxidants, and those can slow the aging process, and milk will be your protein source. If you’re intolerant to lactose try soy milk.
Extra Advise: Try to make ten minutes of cardiovascular activity per day, something like taking the stairs instead of the elevator and have fun!
