Set in pen stain on blue jeans?

Any advice on how to remove a set in blue pen stain on light blue jeans? Its lot and deep in there but a favorite pair of pants.

Easily. Take a bottle of rubbing alcohol (you can even get this at the dollar store) and place enough in a bowl or container deep enough to soak that part of the jeans in. Pour the alcohol pure, do not dilute it with water. Let the ink stain soak in the rubbing alcohol overnight. The next day, if the stain isn’t gone, lightly rub the affected area with a soft, bristle brush toothbrush or other soft brush. Wash as usual.

Rubbing alcohol even works on Sharpie permanent marker.
