Down Voltage
Is it okay to use VOLTAGE TRANSFORMER STEP-DOWN (220v to 120v) when you have 110v?

when i have 110v outlet?
is it safe?
I bought something from asia that is 220v.
In my house, my outlet is 110v, but i couldn’t find a step-down transformer for that. But i found a 220v to 120v.
Is that bad? is it safe?
50 frequency
i mean, 50/60 frequency

That stepdown transformer cuts the voltage in about half. If you put 110v into it, it will drop it to about 55v.
However if you mean you get 110v out of it, then that output will be OK for 117 volt devices. How about frequency? 50 or 60 Hz? Does the device you want to run care about frequency?
