G'day mate! you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed. Thanks for dropping by.

My earlier post was about my wonderful Fijian holiday my family went on a few years ago. It has made me want to visit the tropical paradise of Fiji once again.

I did a search on the Flight Centre Australia website to see what Fiji package deals are available at the moment. Some of the deals you can get now are:

Radisson resort Fiji Denarau Island where you get 5 nights from $609. This is one of Fiji’s newest resorts and is close to Nadi, so getting there is a breeze.

Get six nights for the price of four at the Warwick Fiji Resort. This resort is a bit further away then the Radisson resort. It is on the coral coast about 90 minutes drive from Nadi. On my last vacation I spent a few hours checking out the resort. It is a world standard location. From $639.

If you are looking for the ultimate in Fiji Luxury travel you could stay at the Naviti Resort. It is located on the famous Coral Coast set amongst 38 acres of lush tropical gardens right next to a beautiful lagoon. 5 nights from $4069.

I highly recommend at Fijian holiday experience. The people are so relaxed and make you feel most welcome.

I was lucky enough to visit Fiji just over two years ago. My family and I went on a Fiji package holiday. The price included the airfare, transfers, accommodation and food. It was good being able to leave the wallet in my pocket for most of the holiday in Fiji.

The only time I got it out was for some souvenir shopping.

We went to Fiji from Sydney, Australia. The flight was on an Air Pacific jumbo and took around 3 hours. Once we arrived at Nadi airport and left the aircraft we could feel the tropical atmosphere. From the airport we went to our transfer bus that took us to the Fijian Shangri La resort on the Coral Coast.

On arrival at the resort it was like paradise. The hotel lobby was an open air building and was nicely decorated. We checked in and then were escorted to our spacious room. The bed was nicely decorated with tropical flowers, what a nice welcome.

The next morning we woke up and headed to the smörgåsbord breakfast. As I mentioned earlier we purchased a Fiji package holiday which included all food. We feasted on a wide variety of food including tropical fruit. After that we were ready for some lounging around the pool, and then some swimming.

At the Shangri La Fijian resort there are several swimming pools and a delightful beach. We grabbed a spot by the main pool and relaxed for the day. We mixed our swim time with some time of the free catamaran sailing boat. We also paddled on the sea kayaks provided by the hotel.

Later in the day I grabbed some flippers and goggles and did some snorkeling. I now knew I was in paradise. There were beautiful fish everywhere as I swam in the crystal clear warm waters of Fiji.

As the sun set over the sea we admired the beautiful colors of the sunset before heading off to dinner in one of the restaurants. From memory we had a choice of 4. The food catered for all tastes. It was fabulous. The only problem was we all were going to gain a few pounds while on vacation.

Several days passed, we had played golf, tennis and lazed by the pool. Our daughter had enjoyed her days in the kids club which meant more relaxation time for my wife and I.

After seven days it was time to leave the Shangri La Fijian resort. Our only regret was that we did not book a two week holiday.

Now with the cold weather approaching here in Australia I feel now is the time to go on another vacation in Fiji.

As we are getting closer to October and November now is a great time to be looking to book a holiday in Fiji. The water is lovely and warm at this time of year and it is said that water visibility is better at this time of year.

The last time I visited Fiji with my family we took advantage of the savings achieved by booking a Fiji package holiday. We were able to get seven nights for the price of four. We also had big savings on our meals as we pre-purchased our meals.

The resort we stayed at is the Shangri-la Fijian. It was a great resort. Lots of things to do and it is well maintained. We also spent a day at the Beachcomber Island. To get there we took a boat ride from Denarau Harbour near Nadi. The snorkeling at the island was fantastic.
